The Stress and Pressures of Hollywood Fame

Hollywood fame is not all about fun and glamor. Living the Hollywood fame is like living inside a fishbowl where everyone can see and criticize your every move. It is often very difficult to deal with especially for stars or personalities who were used to the anonymity back when they were still mere mortals like us.

It could definitely cause some stress and paranoia with the paparazzi always breathing down your neck. Being famous also requires you to please people with your appearance and the way you talk. Most of the time, these celebrities would have to watch their language during interviews and compromise their own beliefs for fear of doing a Carrie Prejean. For a huge Hollywood celebrity, it could be very difficult to stand your own ground especially if you do not have the support of your true friends and family.

From being an unknown to the next biggest and brightest hot and loaded celebrity in Hollywood could stress out some actors. Even the often misunderstood Megan Fox, whose Transformers stint made her a household name admitted that fame is an unbridled territory. "I definitely feel ill-prepared. I know I'm struggling with trying to figure out how to live in it, but I definitely feel it's premature,” FHM’s hottest woman alive said in an Entertainment Tonight interview.

To be able to handle fame and the pressures that come along with it, celebrities should know proper stress management and goal setting. They should be able to keep their heads straight on the goal that they want in life and of course the support of families and friends would also help in keeping them grounded. They may be celebrities on the big screen, but strip them of the designer clothes and the name, they would still be normal human beings like us who also need to be level-headed.

Hollywood Cosmetic Surgery Gone Wrong

It is a given for celebrities to look their best, but now and then, there are just some Hollywood personalities who seem to have forgotten to look the part. They are those actors and actresses who let themselves go, stuff themselves with tons of calories, dress like a clown, or get themselves a DUI case. Those are a wee bit normal. What’s not normal are those epic fail cosmetic surgeries Hollywood stars get themselves into.

First case is millionaire, Donald Trump’s daughter, Ivanka Trump. Okay, she looks hot, but take a really closer look and you’d see that something is awfully wrong with real estate princess. Her nose looks like it’s gonna be wiped out of her face any minute. It just keeps getting smaller and smaller to the point that it’s not proportioned to her face anymore. And while her itsy bitsy nose makes a ghostly disappearance, her breasts get bizarrely bigger than her small face.

My advice to Ivanka, slow it down on the cosmetic surgery.

Next is the deceased King of Pop, Michael Jackson who has a record of 20 cosmetic surgeries. Most of the enhancements were done to trim down his nose. Needless to say, going under the knife 20 times has made a world of difference on his looks.

Last but not the least would Tori Spelling. Yes, the daughter of the multimillionaire TV producer, Aaron Spelling. In an autobiography she released years ago, she mentioned that her estranged relationship with her mother caused much of her internal battle about her looks which ultimately lead to her first appoint with a cosmetic surgeon. Initially, it was just about the nose, then the surgeries came one after the other. Her boobs have also received a lot of bashing from gossip mongers in Hollywood because aside from the fact that they are obviously the products of cosmetic surgery, they also do not look proportioned to her thin frame. It seems as though the silicon boobs are gonna popped out any second.

BLINK 182 is BACK!

Tom DeLonge, Mark Hoppus, and Travis Barker, collectively known as Blink 182 will be kicking off their comeback tour this July 24 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

It seems that ordinary fans are not the only ones excited about Blink’s reunion. According to MTV News, Pete Wentz of Fallout Boy, one of the bands to join the tour, said that Blink 182 going on the road once again is dreams come true. More than that, it turns out the Wentz is also a big Blink 182 fan. In an interview with Rolling Stone Magazine, he said that Blink 182 is one of the reasons he wanted to be in a band.

"Pretty much since this band started, we had a list of bands we wanted to meet and hang out with. Blink-182 was at the top of that list,” said Wentz. He added, "To be touring together this summer is a dream come true for us. Not just as a band, but as fans and friends too."

Since the band’s four-year ling hiatus, the guys have been busy with other projects. Tom Delonge Airwaves and Angels started making songs during Blink’s downtime, Mark Hoppus did some gigs with his former band, +44, and Mark Travis still maintained a very active role in the industry. Now that they are back together and ready to make fresh post-hardcore tunes, we can expect that Blink 182 will break new grounds in the rock music scene.

Francisco Cervelli on facing Johan Santana

There are a lot of things that you dream about when you are a major league player. Whenever there is a player that is called up from the minors, they usually check if they can go out and talk to players that they consider as role models.

Back up catcher Francisco Cervelli said that when the Subway Series came on the radar, he wanted to play in Sunday's game above all else so he would have the opportunity to face Santana.

As a September callup last season, former Yankee and fellow Venezuelan Bobby Abreu introduced Cervelli to Santana, and the young backstop said the hurler deserves his well-respected reputation.

"[Santana is] a great guy and a great baseball player," Cervelli said. "He's one of the best. ... I wanted to face one of the best pitchers in the Major Leagues."

With the first chapter of this year's Subway Series complete, Cervelli said that he wouldn't take any additional pride in having put one over on Santana. Asked what the reception would be in Venezuela, Cervelli said it would likely be mixed.

"I think they'll be happy," Cervelli said. "Maybe Santana fans will be mad a little bit. But things happen, and he knows how to come back and pitch well. He knows. He's one of the best guys."

Christian Bale – On acting

I didn’t even have the energy to sleep much at all, if that doesn’t sound too strange. But that absence of energy was replaced with an ability to focus in a very slow and steady way for hours and hours. Physically, I was incredibly relaxed—I really didn’t have a choice—but mentally very acute. It was very nice to be in that state while it lasted. My family enjoyed that one as well, after they got over the horror of looking at me.

• Go Gaga

Love land demolished before it opened

According to reports from BBC, China's first sex theme park, aimed at improving both the sex education and the sex life of its visitors, has been torn down before it even opened.

The owners were "interested only in profiting from sensationalism," the China Daily reported one official said.

October was the target date where it was set to open in Chongqing. Descriptions of Love Land was to have included displays of giant genitalia, naked bodies and an exhibition on the history of sex.

The park was set to offer workshops on sex technique and safe-sex methods.

But the plans left Chongqing officials red-faced, correspondents say.

The officials called the planned park "vulgar, ill-minded and misleading", said China Daily.

"Sex is a taboo subject in China but people really need to have more access to information about it," the park's manager, Lu Xiaoqing told the China Daily state newspaper before the park was demolished.

"We are building the park for the good of the public. I have found that the majority of people support my idea, but I have to pay attention and not make the park look vulgar and nasty."

Among the attractions had been a giant rotating statue of the lower part of a nearly naked woman. Something a Christian magazine will cringe at.

"I think within the first three weeks, I took off like 35 pounds without doing anything!" Okay, almost anything. "I haven't been able to work out that much because I have twins. It's impossible to get back into a regular schedule." So, what is her secret to dropping the pounds? "Breastfeeding is the very best diet I've been on. It's amazing. It's like you have to eat 5,000 extra calories a day or you can't produce enough food for them. So, that's been fun as well." She adds, "I'm not pretending to be back to the shape I was in beforehand anyway. I still have a ways to go...We've got Spanx underneath almost everything..."

Tom Delonge just sold his old strings. The Tom Delonge Guitar was reported to have cost a quarter of a million dollars. Wow, I wouldn't have expected that it would reach such a number!

His band mate Travis Barker, who has had been in a recent accident was now sporting a cast on his right arm. That's sad, he won't be playing the drums, or any other musical instrument for a while. All of us fans just hope that the injury does not permanently affect his playing. That would be too sad.

A christian magazine reported that David Duchovny and wife Tea Leoni have finally announced that they have split up. It's about time I'd say. David has been cheating on her for years. I guess he's internalized his role on the playboy production he's starred in for many years. For those of you who only know David through X-files, he actually started his career as a porn star in the series "Red shoe Diaries."

There is trouble in Tinsel Town

Hollywood stars, hollywood movies, all that crap should be flushed down the toilet. And this, my frenemies, IS the toilet.

I think I should have named this blog The Toilet, yeah, that would have been much more appropriate. But no, I guess things should be different.

I started looking for excuses from a christian magazine. I should have been much better, but I wasn't. You see, I wanted to be a real journalist. I wanted to do news, to get scoops, to go to the dirty dangerous cut throat streets and sniff out news where news hides out. I wanted to hear gun shots, wanted to hear the sirens, wanted to hear the mobs, the presses all clambering over each other, killing each other. Oh yes, I wanted blood and sweat baby.

But no, instead I'm reduced to talking about Hollywood stars like some stupid Perez Hilton blogger. I say, bring it on then. Let me trash everything in tinsel town. Let me be part of that souless, rabid, salivating hoard called hollywood media and we will show you all of the stars lurid lives. No privacy for the famous. No forgiveness for the sinful. No mercy for the spotless.
